We have found a motor bike key and key ring in our car park.
Also a large black umbrella with a wooden handle was left by the outdoor classroom after sports day.
Do let us know if they might be yours. Thanks Ally

We really enjoyed the afternoon despite a couple of rain showers, We hope you did too. As always it only works with parents participating. It was lovely to see the efforts of parents as the gazebo’s were formed, showing commitment for the afternoon agenda. New races, a different type of track and new food served. A few damp clothes and I think only one car stuck in the mud – hooray!
I heard that one gentlemen asked for the name of a lady racing with her child. He wanted to cheer his child’s team, I thought that was nice.
The aftermath is nearing 75% completion and we are pleased to report the results for any parents who missed the afternoon’s activities.

Green 77
Blue 86
Congratulations blues!
I believe we had just under 80 children in attendance and we had a few mentions for children that did so well with their parent’s support.
In Primrose room we had Reuben, Toby, Georgia and Elosie.
For Sunflower and Buttercup Rooms it was Phoebe, Grayson, Rafferty and Charlotte R.
In Cornflower we highlighted Ethan, Liberty, Sienna M and Chloe R.
And Hazel room were proud of Jack, William, Naia and Henri.
And of course all children who took part and enjoyed the afternoon should be very, very pleased with their endeavours.
Thank you so much for making the event work.
See you on Friday 17th August 2018 at 2 pm for the next one! ALLY

We are very excited to announce the teams (as I understand attendance at this time)!
There are always last minute changes likely and many apologises if I have neglected to add a child/ren!
Rooms with low team coloured members should be ready to race more. Those teams with ample members in each room should take turns, or double up on races or alert your allocated members of staff to the fact that your child has not participated enough! Attempts will be made to add in races to enable all children to participate fully. We may also call upon children in different rooms to participate in races for their team colour.
Staff responsible for ‘starting line’ children are –
Zoe and Tia for Primrose Room – age 1
Sophie and Becky for Sunflower and Buttercup Rooms – age 2
Afsheen and Juan for Cornflower Room – age 3
And Charlie and Sam for Hazel Room (Pre-School) – age 4
Thanks Ally
We are delighted to announce that three new staff will be joining our team at the beginning of September. Elise at room deputy level, Robert at deputy supervisor level and Leila at acting deputy manager level. We will of course give you more details of our staff set up for September in due course.
To inform parents about Tara and Lara who are supporting nursery during August especially whilst rain is stopping play and with sports day looming.
Tara and Lara have both just completed Full Paediatric First Aid, Introduction to Safeguarding Children, Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety for Catering, Female Genital Mutilation: Recognising and Preventing FGM V2.1 and the Channel General Awareness Module.
Just so that parents are aware. Abby is remaining with us until the end of August.
Today we enjoyed our Food Hygiene Inspection and can report that we retained our Level 5. Well done to Tim and Mary for their hard work and continued standards.
For parent reference. A number of years ago we alternated our annual Sport’s Day Function to take place on the Friday of the August bank holiday weekend or the week before. However with families enjoying mini breaks over this bank holiday weekend; Nutfield has traditionally taken the date of the Friday prior to the weekend when the August bank holiday Monday falls. Despite immense thought over the years, it is not possible to re-schedule the event so it is a matter of deciding on the day by late morning if we can proceed or if heavy rainfall or high winds means cancellation is the only decision to take. We have managed a couple of rainy days but nothing to mean we would not be able to proceed over years gone by. And the opposite end of the spectrum has occurred when the heat on the day has needed to be managed. We will set out a communication route whereby parents can receive news for this year – Friday 18th August. This news area will keep you posted first. We are aware that parents will be asking for updates as we count down to this year. And your room rep’s will hopefully get news to families quickly.
And please do pencil in the dates for the years ahead as they are given, weather permitting and according to Nutfield confirming the go ahead, just in case we come up with another event in the calendar that might compete with the sports day we have in place already! (Unlikely!)
