New Nursery Manager
Guy is joining us at Nutfield next week as the Nursery Manager and comes with a wealth of experience working with children and families from 3 months – 19 years. He started off his childcare career by volunteering in children’s centres at their Stay and Play sessions, where he developed his passion for the job. He completed his childcare qualifications in 2000 and quickly worked his way up to become the Manager. He was selected to complete a L7 Postgraduate course at the London Metropolitan University, where he studied early years leadership and has been managing nurseries since. Plus, he started his career as a Florist, so we are hoping he brings his green fingers to Nutfield too!
Staff News
Sophie F is going to be leaving Nutfield at the beginning of April. She will be moving onto somewhere more local to her with hours that suit her home life. It has been a hard decision, particularly leaving a place where strong relationships with the children, their families and colleagues have been made over the years, whom she will miss very much. But she has high hopes for the Blue Team in the future and she will take away many special memories! The Nutfield team wish her all the best for her next role.
Iqraa has spent the last 8 months here with us at the nursery and will be exploring new avenues within her childcare career. It is a decision she has found difficult, as relationships have developed here with both children and colleagues and she has very much enjoyed being part of the Nutfield Team.
Andy will be inheriting the role of Health and Safety Officer from Sophie F. He already has plenty of experience with this in his previous roles.
Guy will be joining the team as the Nursery Manager. He is currently deep in the forest completing his Forest School training week. It is something that he is already passionate about and facilitated this learning for others in a previous role. We welcome him to the Nutfield gang! Ally is looking forward to introducing him to everyone over due course.
Lucy has joined us to begin her childcare career as an Apprenticeship. She gained some work experience in a local school, which cemented her decision to pursue a career in childcare. We warmly welcome her to the team! She joins the Blue Team.
Laura F has started her Forest School Training Week and we all look forward to her telling us about it on her return. We hope she will find it as inspiring as many of her colleagues have. She will be working on her portfolio and completing her assessment week over the coming year.
Sophie H naturally takes over as Supervisor having proven herself as a dedicated member of the Nutfield team throughout the pandemic.

New Fee structure
Please find the new fee structure on the information page. It is a lengthy document but it brings flexibility to families. As before we only charge for the actual number of days you book over the year and do not charge for bank holidays. Mondays and Fridays remain at a lower rate. We will be contacting all families individually via the nursery app’ as soon as we can to clarify your options which vary from family to family. This should help to give you a clearer understanding of the fees. If you wish to extend your hours at nursery or change your attendance pattern in anyway from September please let us know as soon as possible in order for us to accommodate you. If you wish to reduce your hours at nursery, please advise us by Wednesday 14 August at the latest. Do let us know if you need your nursery app’ login details. Thank you.
